Lori Dawson has a love for animals that started at a very young age. Horses had a particularly strong draw for her and she would try to be around them as often as possible. She read countless books on horses. A series of books that caught her interest were "The Black Stallion" series by Walter Farley. This series had a great impact on the way she viewed horses and building a relationship with them.

When she became an adult, after raising her son and establishing herself as a veterinary technician she became involved with horses again. Reigniting her passion for these beautiful, powerful and graceful animals she was determined to have a horse of her own. She found her first horse, a draft cross, through Bret Lambdin. She boarded him at Bret's Flying L Stable and was taking lessons in riding and horsemanship from Bret.

As time went on she started helping Bret when she came out to see her horse. She was again reading books, watching YouTube videos and buying DVDs to learn how horses think and how to train yourself so they understand your requests. She started helping Bret gentle mustangs. That's a way to fast track your horsemanship! Gentling mustangs started as a part time gig and eventually turned into a full time partnership.

Lori enjoys spending time with her horses, her draft cross Willoughby and her mustang Galadriel. She also enjoys reading, science and music.
